A working barn, rebuilt for one wedding at a time
Hartwell Barn has stood on Mill Lane since the 1790s and held its first wedding in 2016. Three hundred and eighty weddings later, the building has barely changed and neither has the team.

How it got here
Ten years of it
Four dates that changed what the barn could do.
Ruth bought the barn as a roofless shell with a collapsed south wall and twelve acres of nettles. Planning took fourteen months and the answer was conditional on the noise limiter we still run today.
"It rained from eight in the morning until midnight and we did not care once. The barn was laid for the ceremony before we were awake, and Elias made the call at ten so our florist had time to move the arch."
