What the hire fee covers

The same three questions come up at every viewing, so here they are answered before you ask.

Ask about a date
  • Exclusive use of the whole site for two nights, 140 oak chairs and six trestle tables, crockery and glassware for 140, the bar and cellar, a coordinator from booking to the morning after, and all sixteen beds in the Granary.

  • Catering, drink, flowers, music, the registrar and your photographer. We hold a list of about thirty suppliers who know the building, and we take no commission from any of them.

  • A £1,500 deposit holds the date. Half the balance nine months out, the rest six weeks before. Move the date once, free, if you give us more than ninety days.

Four hire rates

Amelia & Joe on their wedding day

"We saw four barns in a fortnight and this was the only one where nobody handed us a brochure. Ruth walked us the length of the room with a tape measure and told us 130 would mean round tables. We booked that afternoon."

Sofia & Danny on their wedding day

"It rained from eight in the morning until midnight and we did not care once. The barn was laid for the ceremony before we were awake, and Elias made the call at ten so our florist had time to move the arch."
